The P-town Reunion!

Often times Bill and I will sit around and remember what it was like in college. The 4 years spent at U of I were some of the best we've had together. Why? Was it because

- We had no financial responsiblities besides the weekend "going out" expenditure

- Our sleep schedule was not dictated by someone who is 46 inches tall

- We still looked good in clothes that you buy at Abercrombie, Hollister, Buckle.....

- We could basically pound an entire order of Bubs balls or Pokey Stix and STILL fit into the above-mentioned clothing

- 401K, IRA, FEIN, LLC, MPT, CBO, IFSP....were all a bunch of letters to us

- We didn't have to worry about upgrading our cell phones - we didn't have one!

- We barely ever checked our email - we had to walk across campus to use a computer

OK....the list could go on and on. We love our lives now, but will NEVER miss a chance to talk about old times. That could be why we had such a BLAST in Peoria last weekend!! 9 of my sorority sisters met at Kelly and Brian's house for 2 days of laughing. The boys got to golf while the women "talked". We had amazing BBQ and a great next day brunch. We discovered that the fun we can have together has not changed. However, a few other things have!!!

- No more cheap beer - only the finest drinks from Brazil, mixed at a granite topped bar ;)

- No bubs balls - fancy dips and appetizers (thanks Kelly)

- We DID discuss 401K, IRA, FEIN, LLC......along with the Swine flu!

- We also talked about baby monitors, burp clothes, pack and plays, nursing bras and pumps...

- We discussed new party favors for our get togethers. No more T-shirts or beer steins...we are going to get personalized breast pumps that say... "We are having an Alpha Gam get reunion...and are really PUMPED about it"!

- We discussed black out dates (you'll have to ask someone about this one!!)

Anyone to avoid going on and on....the weekend was amazing and it was so wonderful to reconnect with all my friends, spend time with their husbands, and meet their beautiful children. When we celebrate our TEN year reunion next year we will have anywhere from 4-9 more babies joining us. Times change so fast, but are so wonderful!! And for you AGD's who check my blog...."To gain understanding that wisdom may be vouchsafed to me. To develop and prize health and vigor of body. To cultivate acquaintance with many whom I meet. To cherish friendships with but a chosen few and to study the perfecting of those friendships......" Better start memorizing before June 2010!!!
