Did they REALLY say that?

I love funny kid sayings. I desperately try to remember them so I can write them down to look back at when my kids are teenagers and don't have anything funny to say! Here are a few recent ones:

- I was doing an exercise video and the words "Kick combo" were on the bottom of the screen. Luke asked what a "combo" is. Lora said, " I know. It's that big thing that grandpa drives in the field...to get the peas out." For you city people, she was referring to a COMBINE!

- While pretend playing kitchen one day, we were setting out all the food groups on our plates. Lora had a hard time finding another dairy product. I told her that she could have the ice cream cone because that was dairy. Luke's eyes got really big and he said, "You mean ice cream is a food group!!!" Don't I wish....

- When my car was dirty, Lora said, "Let's take it to Mr. Dan. He can fix it". Mr. Dan is the guy at Midas who does all our car repairs. With my old Pontiac, we visited him so many times in one month that the kids knew him on a first name basis!! How sad!

- Luke ran in the room and said, "Mom, if you need anything from me, just go to superhero.com and I can help".

- Luke told me that Aunt Kathy was home from the hospital. I asked him how he knew. He said, "Oh, Daddy got a text". He knows what a TEXT is?!!!
- We were at the park and I was swinging next to Luke. He looked over and said, "Mommy, your bottom is about to fall off the swing". No, Luke. My bottom just EXPANDS over the swing, unlike your little one that is ENGULFED by the swing!

- I was eating a few chips and dip and Luke and Lora BOTH told me, "Mommy, you better stop eating chips. Those are not healthy, especially for the baby." Who are you to dictate what a pregnant woman can eat!!!
- After gymnastics last week, Lora comments, "Mommy, the baby watched me do gymnastics! It also went to the park with us and to the Magic House. Mommy, the baby gets to do a lot!"

- On Mother's day, Luke made the comment that there should be a "kid's day". I explained that every day is kid's day. When we go to the park, it's kid's day. "No, we do that all the time". When we go to the Magic House it's kid's day. "No, we do that a lot". What about Disney World? Luke says, "Yeah! That was kid's day. Let's have it be kid's day again!"

When they say things like that I just belly laugh...and want to freeze time!
