I went to a continuing education course today and had to actually sit STILL for 6.5 hours! The last time I sat still for THAT long was probably the last CE course I went to! Anyway, the baby is so used to moving all the time that I think he/she was shocked into an awakened state when I was sitting still. He/she was moving all over today! I think I felt a few movements last week, but today I felt all kinds of movement. It is so cool to think of this little thing growing inside me!
When I came home from the course Luke asked me, "Mom (becuase he calls me MOM now!) did the baby come out yet?" He looked at my tummy and goes, "Oh, no it didn't. It just grew bigger!"
The baby now measures about 4 inches long, crown to rump, and weighs in at about 2 1/2 ounces. The legs are growing longer than the arms now, and he/she can move all of his/her joints and limbs. He/She can sense light. There's not much for your baby to taste at this point, but he/she is forming taste buds. Pretty cool, huh?!
Oh I'm so jealous that you can already feel movement! I was sure I would feel it so early this time but still could not be sure until 18 weeks!! Now there's no hiding it since you don't even have to touch me to SEE him move, but still, it would have been nice to have that early reassurance!
