Holiday Weekend and we stayed home!

For the first time (ever?) we stayed in St. Louis for Memorial Weekend. Jason, Valerie, Catrina, and Audrey Holschen came Saturday - Sunday to stay with us. We had Saturday lunch at our house with them and the Ryans and their two kids. It is so fun to watch the kids play and interact!

Sunday we had an afternoon wedding. The wedding was on the campus of Washington University

One of the Kirkwood football coaches married a girl I went to PT school with! After a two hour ceremony (!!!) they were pronounced man and wife! There was a part in the ceremony where all 200 kids in the church took flowers to the altar for the bride.

After the wedding, Lora wanted to be a bride too!

Since Chris, the groom, is also a teacher, the church was swarming with middle school students. Since Patty is a pediatric physical therapist, there were lots of little kids too! Our kids fit right in and sat still the entire time! After the wedding, we rushed them home to a babysitter so we could go out and party at the reception. Unfortunately I was designated driver :) but we had a great time. My abs are a little sore from dancing to all the "boom boom" music!

Today, Monday, we are heading to an afternoon BBQ with Dan and Mary Beth Ferrara. We love St. Louis holiday weekends! (sorry extended family!)
