Punk'd

The Kirkwood Pom Squad had a fundraiser to help pay to go to National Competition. They hosted a "Dancing with the Staff" night. Each Pom girl picked a staff member, taught that staff member a dance, and then performed. Bill did awesome! He danced to Rockin' Robin, which then transitioned to Bird Walk by Soldja Boy. He practiced so hard and knew every move! The winner was based on both performance and overall ticket sales. Since Bill only sold ONE ticket (to me) he didn't gain any ticket sales points....and therefore didn't win. But he should have - he was definitely the best!

So the next day I posted the video of him dancing on Facebook and youtube. Our worship leader, Brennan, saw it and immediately showed it to Karl, our pastor. They both thought the video (and the opportunity) was too good to not take advantage of. So, Brennan asked Bill to do announcements at church the next Sunday. He typically does the announcements 1-2x/month so this was nothing out of the ordinary. After first service Brennan told Bill he needed to introduce a video to the congregation after the announcements. He was to explain that "Gateway has so many wonderful members with so many diverse talents. We are so thankful for each member and the gifts that they bring to this congregation". After he finished saying that, the video started....and it was HIM, doing his Rockin' Robin pom pom dance, being shown to the entire church congregation. Bill just dropped his head...he'd been punk'd....by the church.
