We went to Washington State Park (southern Missouri) to camp this weekend. It is along the Big River and the kids had the time of their life catching tadpoles!! Actualllllllly....MOMMY caught them all. It was the first amphibianlike activity I have ever partaken in. Luke was pretty impressed! So, we brought home 8 tadpoles. A friend of ours did this and within a week the tadpoles turned into frogs. What a great science lesson?! Well, I got on the internet to see what to feed these guys and discovered that depending on the species, they can remain tadpoles for UP TO TWO YEARS! With out luck, that's the breed we brought home. I'll keep you updated on our newest family addition. Any advice on raising tadpoles will be greatly appreciated....
