SPARKLE!

For the past year Lora has been asking for a kitten. We have been continuously putting her off with excuses such as "Lexi is too small", "the house is for sale", "we are moving". bill and I finally decided to grant her wish for her 6th birthday. She had her heart set on a gold kitten and she wanted to name it "Sparkle" because it would "sparkle like the sunshine". I was stalking the Humane Society's website looking for a gold kitten. On Friday evening I found a litter of 6 kittens at the St. Louis shelter. By Saturday, the litter was down to 4. On Sunday evening, there were only 2 kittens left. Bill and I decided that we better secure ourselves a GOLD KITTEN, even if her birthday wasn't for another 10 days. So, May 30, we added SPARKLE to our family.

Lora chose between two golden kittens. We picked the "calmer" one. After getting home, we realized she was saving her energy for her new family!

Mary meets Sparkle for the first time. They now LOVE each other and wrestle around the house!

Sparkle is very inquisitive and loves to get into things. She makes us laugh and keeps us on our toes.

Lexi LOVES "kitty kat". She reads her books. She scolds her when she is someplace she should not be.

But the person who loves her the most is Lora. She takes wonderful care of her and Sparkle is often found snuggling up with her!
