June 1, 2005

Six years ago we welcomed our precious baby girl into the world. We appropriately celebrated with not one, not two, but FIVE birthday parties. This first party was at Grandma Ufkes's house. She had a cake made with a picture of Sparkle, the cat, on it. Lora loved it....then stated that she didn't like cake anymore.

One of Lora's favorite gifts was matching pajamas for her and Morgan. Again, she didn't get one matching outfit, not two matching outfits, but THREE matching outfits. Luke's quote was, "Jeez! Is it Morgan's birthday too?!" (Morgan is the American Girl doll)

Birthday party number 2 was with our friends Dan and Mary Beth. We had a BBQ and day at the pool and she got showered with gifts (again!)

Party number 3 was her actual birthday. She started with a scavenger hunt to find all her gifts. She got to pick the activities and meals. Breakfast was cinnamon rolls, lunch McDonald's, dinner was chicken on the bone (fried chicken - her favorite!). She spent the morning at pom pom camp and the afternoon at the pool. What more could a girl ask for?!

Party number 4 was at pom pom camp. She gave all the girls cookies and got "Happy Birthday" sung to her between rehearsals of her Justin Beiber song.

Party number 5 is next Monday - Lora gets her "birthday friend day". Details coming...
