Everything I need to know I learned in Kindergarten

That's my baby girl. She graduated from kindergarten on June 4, 2011. What an awesome year we had. I feel such privilege that I got to be her teacher all year. I watched as she learned to tie her shoes and put her own clothes away. She learned to brush her own hair and do her chores without being asked. She learned addition, subtraction, to tell time, and to read graphs. She learned to read everything in sight. She learned all about sea creatures and made a sea creature box. She studied the human body, took a cooking class, wenk to gymnastics and ballet, and played outdoor soccer. She sang in the church Christmas program and on stage several times during the year. She learned to write in cursive and tell stories with a plot. She learned to spell and to define Greek root words. She learned to pick up her Bible, turn to any page, and start studying God's word. I have so many things to be proud of, yet the thing that makes me the proudest is the gigantic heart that she has. She really learned a lot this year about taking care of her baby sister, serving others at the food pantry, caring for a baby kitten, helping her mommy around the house, and just snuggling and cuddling when that's all we want to do. Kindergarten is over and I could be sad, but I am so excited to see all the new things Lora will learn and accomplish.
