No visit is complete....

No visit is complete to Chicago without a visit to the American Girl Doll Store (per Lora). However, it has also become Luke's favorite store! Upon entering, you can visit the guest services counter and they will allow any "boys" visiting the store to check out a Nintendo DS to play while their sisters shop! Luke was in heaven!

Lora took "Morgan" with her, as well as her wallet, stuffed with her hard earned money. The day before we took some time during math to count out all her money, including LOTS of change. She had $33.80. We spent over an hour looking at every piece of clothing, carefully considering the PERFECT purchase. Lora was very deliberate in her choices and definitely mulled over her deicision for quite some time. We finally had it narrowed down to three things and she made her decision of a purple zebra striped dress with a bracelet, headband, and shoes as well as a new comb for Morgan's hair. We went to pay and the total was $22. 85. That girl knows how to budget! So, we began counting dollars, then quarters, then dimes, then nickels, then about 50 pennies. Poor girl literally used up all her pennies! And the poor cashier had money strewn all over the counter! When we left, we asked for the extra large bag to put all our other things (for easy carry) and we had daddy a little scared when we walked out of the store with THAT bag! But, Lora was a wise consumer and made us both very proud!
