Lora announced two days ago that she has a new friend. His name is Jimmy. He is 13 years old. He is her boyfriend. He likes to play basketball and watch Star Wars. And since he is 13 years old he has watched Star Wars III and told her all about it. She talks to Jimmy on the phone and texts him.
Jimmy is imaginary.
Today she announced that they are engaged and she has been wearing a gigantic ring that she got at the dentist's office on her right pointer finger. When asked what it means to be engaged, she answered, "I dunno".
Remember, Jimmy is imaginary.
This annoys Luke greatly as he can CLEARLY see there is NO Jimmy.
Breakfast conversation:
Lora, "Jimmy is going to call me in a minute".
Luke, " Lora! THere is NO Jimmy. Mommy, make her stop talking about him. "
Lora, "Yes, there is a Jimmy. He is my friend."
Luke, "Lora! He is not real. Stop it now!"
....and conversation continues to escalade!
