Lexi is now 8 weeks old. She weighs 11 pounds 5 ounces. She is smiling, giggling, holding herself up on her tummy, eating like a champ. She has made numerous trips to the farm, a trip to Chicagoland, had a slumber party at my sister's house, attended several luncheons with me and girlfriends, met Buddy the Elf, and sat through her first movie (Princess and the Frog).
She keeps me busy. Really busy. She loves to be held, loves to snuggle, loves to move. She likes lights and music. She startles easily and cries when naked.
She sleeps 5-7 hours in two stretches at night but will only nap 20 minutes at a time. She loves her sister and brother. She wrinkles her nose and spits when Marty, our dog, licks her face. She doesn't like her carseat when it's still, but likes it when it's in the car. 70 mph is her favorite speed.
She has the most adorable wardrode. She wears a lot of cute dresses, sweatsuits, and decorative onesies with pants that have ruffles on the butt. she has millions of hairbows and several large flower arrangements that fit on her head. Her room is pink with generous gifts from friends displayed throughout. She has a pair of white "ugg" boots.
She has great hair that looks straight. she has dark blue eyes that focus and are really attentive. She has great skin and hasn't gotten baby acne or cradle cap yet.
She is my third child. The third child doesn't have a baby book. She doesn't have a scrapbook. She has no baby pictures. She wears hand me down clothes. She gets ignored when she cries. I'm vowing NOT to let any of these things happen to my child. Even though it's been a month since I've blogged about her, I promise to be better. I promise to be more diligent recording her successes, failures, struggles, and passions. This is the start of a new promise, Lexi!
