We got to enjoy a very special Mother's Day weekend with Bill's Mom. Besides spending ACTUAL Mother's Day with us (for the first time!), we packed in everything else this weekend too!!
Thursday: She got to watch Lora at her dance class, ballet AND hip/hop.
Friday: She got to watch Lexi's art class, play CLUE with the big kids, take them to quilting class and see their quilts, and then watch their Joyful Noise play.
Saturday: She got to watch them all during swimming lessons. Then we spent the day drawing with chalk, got custard, and went to the park. She taught Lora how to knit a hat and she finished TWO of them.
Sunday: We went to church and had an awesome lunch of ribs and the fixin's. The kids had an amazing scavenger hunt to help her find her gifts around the house. We went downtown for a carriage ride and then dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory. AFterwards, the kids swam in the fountains at Keiner Plaza. We ended with pictures of the arch!
Monday: She got to hear a piano concert by LUke and a guitar concert by Lora. She got to play several games with Lexi and play continuous ball with Logan! She got to go the library with us and witness how my kids become COMPLETELY anti-social when they get new books!! I went to work so she got to watch the kids play with the neighborhood kids, jump on the trampoline, and play on the swingset.
Tuesday: She got to do more knitting, play more games (Bingo and Alibi), read more books, and build some Legos. She got to watch Lora's American Heritage Girls "bridging ceremony". Then she went with Bill, Luke, and Lora to the Fox Theatre to watch Wizard of Oz. We bought her the tickets for Christmas and she was able to redeem them this week while the show was in town. It was such a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!!
We got to spot some Birthday Cakes on our carriage ride
