Christmas Celebrations

Part of our yearly Christmas celebration revolves around the kid's programs at church.  It has become quite the tradition and it is fun to watch the kids grow and change with each role each year.  Luke was asked to be Tiny Tim this year.  Although a small part, with only one line, he took it very seriously and practiced with diligence!
Lora was one of the "townspeople children" and enjoyed dressing up and singing in the front row. She is a performer at heart and loves to sing for Jesus, making the perfect combination for a Christmas play!

We were able to spend one afternoon with the American Heritage Girls singing Christmas carols at the nursing home.  Luke and Lora enjoyed singing, but Lexi was the cutie in the bunch, dressed up as Mrs. Santa!

Christmas Eve services are probably my favorite time the whole season.  I love the anticipation. I love the candlelight service. I love the songs and the sermon and the dimmed lights.  I love dressing the kids up and having them marvel in the Christmas magic, as well as the miracle of Jesus birth.  Here are a few pictures of the kids in their "fancies".
