Bill went back to Bowen to go deer hunting. Luke and Lora had several things going on in St. Louis so we stayed here and sent Lexi with Bill, therefore declaring this BIG KID WEEKEND! I had a long list of activities and lots of GROUPONS to use up. Friday night started with Skyzone trampoline jumping and dinner out. We watched a movie and snuggled in my bed for a slumber party. Saturday AM we got krispy kreme and dropped Luke off at his shark dissection class at Meramec College. Lora and I went shopping for canned goods for the can food drive. We picked up Luke and headed to Gateway Church for their Christmas play practice. On the way we stopped for peppermint milkshakes at Chick-fil-A. After practice we dropped our cans off at the movie theatre and got our free movie tickets. We went to Sonic for lunch, Walmart to shop for our Angel Tree children, basketball evaluation/tryouts, and dropped our donations off at Circle of Concern/Gateway Give pantry. We went back to the theatre to see our movie: Arthur Christmas 3D! After all that, the kids said, "Can we just go home now". I fed them a real meal for dinner, we made gingerbread houses, and they were asleep by 7. It's a good thing Daddy only hunts once a year. We wouldn't have the energy to have BIG KID weekends very often!
3D glasses at the movies!I call BIG KID WEEKEND a BIG success!
