My baby turns 8

Luke was so excited for his birthday. We celebrated on the 4th because we were at my parents and because I had to work on the 5th. However, just like Lora, his birthday is a week long! It's just celebration after celebration!

It's an ice cream LEGO cake!

Besides Legos, Luke has been begging for a nintendo DS. We got him one, but didn't let him know right away. Grandma and Grandpa Ufkes got him a case for his DS and a gift certificate to Game Stop. Grandma B got him a Star Wars DS game. He was pretty pumped, for sure that he would get a DS! We had a scavenger hunt for his gifts from us. When he found the gifts and opened them, he got two shirts and a pair of swimming trunks. He was very grateful, hugged us, and said he loved them! But, you could tell he was slightly upset. Then I said, "you have one more on the table!". His eyes lit up and he hugged us and ran to open his DS. Later, I asked him if he was disappointed with just clothes. Without hesitation, he said YES!
