Mark Twain 2011

Mark Twain Lake is the perfect meeting spot for boating. It is halfway between St. Louis and my parents house. Dad provides the boat. Mom provides the food. We provide the entertainment!

Growing up, we all learned how to ski by first using the "sled". Lots of laughter took place two years ago when Dad found the SAME sled we all learned on still stored at the campground (Lakeview) we used to go to! However, last summer it got a crack in it and it couldn't be fixed. In October, Bill was walking through our neighborhood garage sale and found the SAME sled for $5! He offered the guy $4 and that became dad's Christmas present! You can't even buy these anymore. We told dad that Lexi was feeling left out, being the only grandchild who has not used the sled! That changed this weekend when she rode it, with mommy hanging on behind.

All the activity wore little Lexi out and she napped for 2 hours on the boat.

Luke got up on skiis and although his posture is not perfect, he stayed up for about 200 feet.

My Dad continues to impress us all. After donning several knee braces and complaining about how cold the water is, he still outshines us all with his abilities!
