One day a week, Luke and Lora go to a co-op class called Homeschool Network (HSN). They get to do art, PE, geography, science, literature, and communications. In their communications class they take turns bringing items for show and tell. This helps develop speaking and presentation skills as a form of communication. They both chose to bring Logan as their show and tell. I confirmed with the teacher and she was all prepared for Logan. The kids each read "Paint the Octopus Red", a phenomenal book about a baby born with Down syndrome. They talked about Logan being in the hospital and about what it means to have Down syndrome. We showed the kids Logan's "one crease" on his hand and his "sandal" toes. It just makes me smile from my head to my toes to watch them interact with their baby brother with such love and pride.
Yay! So glad they liked the book and shared it with their friends!
